Following a consultation with Jan at ‘Mind Matters’ concerning my worries and considerable concern about an operation I was due to undergo, I decided to try Hypnotherapy to see if this would help. I can honestly say that it worked - completely.
I was not anxious or stressed about the operation even when I was about to go into the theatre and was chatting calmly with the nursing staff. My mind would not let me cross from its ‘positive side’ towards its ‘negative side’ - and even when I returned to my room after the operation I was still calm and relaxed. I am certain this kept the pain at bay, as I was not stressed in any way. Months after the operation and I remain calm about the whole experience.
